Vintage Heath Tidbit Plate Set - Butter & Sand
Heath Ceramics was founded in 1948 in Sausalito, CA by Edith Heath who was a talented ceramicist with a simple goal of making good things for good people. Over the years she pioneered advances in glaze development and a technique of single kiln firing at lower temperatures to save energy and create a durable product that stands the test of time. Vintage Heath Ceramics are part of the permanent collection at the MOMA in San Francisco, displaying mid century iconic design with a Scandinavian influence.
This is a beautiful set of five Coupe style small tidbit places (smaller than desert plates for appetizers) in the discontinued Sand & Butter glaze. The set is in great handmade vintage condition with a slight natural variation that is intrinsic to this product as the glazes have taken slightly differently to each plate.
