Pouring Bowl - Vintage Heath Ceramics
Heath Ceramics was founded in 1948 in Sausalito, California by Edith Heath who was a talented ceramicist with a simple goal of making good things for good people. Over the years she pioneered advances in glaze development and a technique of single kiln firing at lower temperatures to save energy and create a durable product that stands the test of time. Each rare vintage piece has been hand selected for exceptional quality and mid century beauty.
This is the classic "pouring bowl" or batter bowl style which has been around for several decades in the Heath line, but this glaze has long been discontinued. A beautiful decorative shape with lots of function, fit for pouring pancake batter, soups or gravy. Microwave, dishwasher and oven safe but note the leather strap must be removed for those actions.
Gorgeous chocolate color which blends in an ombre into a creamy interior.
