Shaka Bottle Opener
Solid bronze bottle opener made by designer Andrew Mau hailing from Oahu, Hawaii. Originally hand carved in wax and cast in bronze, the "shaka" gesture made into this bottle opener is loved for its meaning, as much as it is loved for its sculptural aesthetic.
Shaka is a common greeting in the Hawaiian culture. The thumb and pinky are extended while the index, middle and ring fingers are held tightly. The gesture is associated with surf culture sometimes known as "hang loose".
This bottle opener can be on display looking gorgeous as decor when it is not in use and being functional.
Choose from two beautiful finishes: blackened or shiny. Mucho aloha.
